This book is the result of the lectures and pannels of three seminars organized in Barcelona (November 2003, November 2004 and September 2005) by International Relations Directorate of the Barcelona Provincial Council, within the framework of its work in Arco Latino, in order to share the strategic orientations of the Association with all the actors of the territory.

The document is structured around five great chapters: Views about the Mediterranean; the Mediterranean as space of prosperity and peace; migrations within the Mediterranean; the territorial development of Arco Latino space; and Arco Latino 2010 - a sustainable Mediterranean territory.
